Router Table Reaches Critical Mass Here you see it sans fence, but since I sold my table saw, I'm a few weeks from having enough accuracy to complete the fence. I'm very happy with the end result and can't wait to get some projects lined up!
The process of building the router table from sketchup to wood.
Project #1 - The Router Table - http://lumberjocks.com/projects/4635
Step 1. Draw up the Christmas Gift
Here is the Sketchup File: Note: You have to rename it to SKP to load it.
Download it here: WoodPeckerRouterTop.skp
Step 2. Build a basic base. Looking to Norm's For inspiration, as well as some posted throughout the Internet. I'll make sure to reference them as I go.
Concept 1.
I've left spots to clamp on both sides of the table, added slide out bit holders and a couple of giant drawers.

Well, I've added layers, and worked on the joints.
Next Step: Add some layout / Measurement copies of the component
NOW for the redesign
Off To Build.
For the shop project, I've decided to use pocket joints. They are strong, quick, and don't require curing. I did of course run glue on the joints as well. Results of 1 Sheet of Plywood
Ran out of plywood....
Ok, Found some change in my drawer
slowly making progress
